NAPERVILLE, Ill. – Grinnell College's Sarah Burnell '14 made the most of her opportunity at a last chance meet Friday.

The Pioneer women's track and field star shattered her own school record in the 800-meter run at the North Central College Gregory Invitational, finishing fifth in a 31-runner field with a clocking of 2:12.46. That beat her previous mark of 2:13.49, set earlier this season.

Katie Reid of Ohio Wesleyan won the race in a time of 2:10.46.
