BELOIT, Wis. – If there was even the slightest doubt of the Grinnell College men's cross country team continuing its Midwest Conference dominance, those thoughts were extinguished – and then some –

The Pioneers beat runner-up Monmouth College by 50 points en route to its fifth league title in a row at the Beloit Club Golf Course. Grinnell had six all-conference performers while winning its 19th crown in the past 20 years and 29th in the past 31.

Grinnell, with 33 points, was led by
John Lennon '19 who jumped onto the program's all-time best performance list. He was second in the 116-runner field with a time of 26:15.6 on the 8-kilometer course, earning all-conference honors for the first time. Jensen's time is 50th on the Pioneers' all-time board.

The Pioneers put four more in the top 11, paced by
Anthony McLean's '17 fifth-place finish in 26:36.0.
Jackson Schulte '20 was seventh in 26:39.4,
Matthew McCarthy '17 was eighth in 26:41.3 and
Pieter Hansen '19 claimed 11th in 26:43.7.

McLean completed a run of four MWC all-conference accolades, while McCarthy has been all-conference twice and the others once.

Gray Krewson '19 was also all-conference for the first time, taking 17th in 27:00.5. Rounding out Grinnell's top seven was
Nate Crail '19, 30th in 27:47.2.

The Pioneers compete in the NCAA Regional Championships in two Saturdays at Northfield, Minn.
