JACKSONVILLE, Ill. – Grinnell College's women claimed three all-conference spots and had seven runners either move up or jump onto the program's all-time best list as the Pioneers claimed runner-up honors at the Midwest Conference  Cross Country Championships Saturday.

Emma Zimmerman '18 locked up all-conference honors for the third time in her career, racing to a third-place finish in the 123-runner field. Her time on the 6-kilometer course at The Links at Jacksonville Golf course was 22:21.7, which ranks fourth in program history.

Anna Ahrens '19 is now a two-time All-MWC performer, taking eighth place in 22:49.8. That clocking ranks ninth in program history.
Mikayla Fujiwara '20 also claimed All-MWC honors, placing 11th in 23:06.7. Fujiwara now ranks 15th in program history.

Rounding out Grinnell's list of scorers was
Ally Cottrell '21, who was 21st in 23:31.4,
Emma Luhmann '18, who was 22nd in 23:21.4.
Cara Keleher '21 and
Tori LaVerdiere '20 were 25th and 26th in 23:28.8 and 23:29.0. Cottrell's time is 21st in program history and LaVerdiere's time ranks 22nd.

Also moving up Grinnell's ladder were
Nicole Arredondo '19 and
Rebecca Villa '21, who both ran 23:36 and are 27th.

Grinnell finished with 63 points, while St. Norbert College won with 37. The individual champ was Marikate Murphy of Cornell College, who ran 22:09.5.

The Pioneers will compete at the NCAA Division III Regional Championships Nov. 11 in Northfield, Minn.
