All-MWC Volleyball Team
GRINNELL, Iowa – Grinnell College's
Kaylin Kuhn '21 has had a superb first season of collegiate volleyball, and today is being rewarded for her performance.
The 5-10 outside hitter from Bettendorf, Iowa (Bettendorf) has been named the Midwest Conference Newcomer of the Year while also picking up second-team All-MWC honors.
Kuhn is the first-ever Pioneer to be named MWC Newcomer of the Year, and the first to earn all-league honors in her initial season with the team since Claire Reeder did so in 2007.
Kuhn ranks among the league leaders in several categories, as she's third in aces per set with 0.43, sixth in kills at 3.27 and 15th in digs with 3.09. She also has 23 blocks and 13 assists.
Kuhn's efforts helped Grinnell earn a repeat trip to the MWC Tournament and 16 wins, the most for the program since 2002.
