Grinnell College Athletics

Grinnell College's Albert Bostoen '26 claimed the 2023 season's final Midwest Conference Men's Tennis Performer of the Week honor.
 
Bostoen, from Westport, Conn. (Greens Farms Academy), won all three of his matches over the weekend as Grinnell secured its 19^th MWC title in a row with 9-0 victories over Monmouth College and Illinois College.
 
He posted a 6-2, 6-2 victory at No. 1 singles against Monmouth and teamed with Spencer Skidmore '25 to win 8-4 at No. 1 doubles. Against Illinois College, Bostoen sailed to a 6-0, 6-1 victory at No. 2 singles. Grinnell owns a 178-match winning streak against MWC foes, dating back to the 2002-03 season. Additionally, Grinnell has posted shutouts in 25 of its last 28 matches against league opponents.
 
This marks the seventh time this season a Grinnell player has been named Performer of the Week.
