Nathan Brennaman '95 belongs in the Hall of Fame for his outstanding performances on the soccer field and as a diver. Brennaman played three sports at Grinnell College: soccer, golf, and swimming and diving. He earned four letters each for only soccer and diving. As a senior, he was voted Most Valuable Player on both teams. As a third-year and a senior, Brennaman helped bring home the Midwest Conference Championship, and earned several All-Conference honors for soccer. On the diving board, Brennaman placed first on the three-meter board four years in a row at the MWC Championships. He also placed first in the conference on the one-meter for two years. In addition, he claimed two diving records that still stand: the three-meter, six-dive event (294.0); and the three-meter, 11-dive event (551.0). The awards don't stop there. Brennaman earned All-American Honorable Mention honors at the 1994 National Diving Championship; and as a three-time qualifier for Diving
Nationals, Grinnell College awarded him the Senior Award for Outstanding Athlete in More than One Sport. Although Brennaman does not dive or play soccer today, he now competes in triathlons. He lives in Minneapolis, Minn., where is a lawyer for a large law firm.
