Half-dozen men recognized with major awards at 2016 Honor G event

GRINNELL, Iowa – Six male senior student-athletes were honored at the 2016 Grinnell College Honor G Banquet Saturday at Herrick Chapel.
 
Sam Tinkham '16 and Daniel Goldstein '16 were winners of the Morgan Taylor '26 Award for outstanding athlete in a single sport. Goldstein, a diver, received the award for an individual sport and Tinkham, a baseball player, was honored for a team sport.
 
Graham Fisher '16 and Nate Kolacia '16 received the David Theophilus '51 Award for outstanding athletes in more than one sport. Fisher, who played football and baseball for Grinnell, won it for team sports while Kolacia, who competed in cross country and track and field, won it for individual sports.
 
Goldstein won the Honor G Scholastic Award, while Ed Hardman '16 claimed the George B. Critchett '25 Service Award. Hardman competed in football and track and field.
 
Soccer player Michael Hurley '16 claimed the Coaches Award.
