Grinnell College’s Isaiah Tyree ’15, a 6-1, 175-pound goal keeper from Rachos De Taos, N.M. (Taos), has been named the Midwest Conference Men’s Soccer Defensive Performer of the Week.
Tyree continued his amazing start to the season, as his defensive skills allowed the Pioneers to earn a pair of ties with highly-touted University of Dubuque and Aurora University. In the 0-0 game with Dubuque, Tyree recorded 10 saves and he added six more in a 1-1 contest with Aurora, a team that entered the game with an unblemished 3-0 record.
For the season, Tyree has a 0.57 goals against average and .917 saves percentage.
