Evelyn Weidman ’17, a 5-11 middle hitter from Flossmoor, Ill. (Homewood-Flossmoor): Weidman was a key part in the Pioneers posting a 4-1 mark in the past week.

In 19 sets, Weidman had team-highs of 17 blocks and 14 ace serves and a .275 hitting efficiency. She averaged 1.37 kills per set and also helped lead the Pioneers to a runner-up finish in the six-team ACM (Associated Colleges of the Midwest) Invitational over the weekend. Weidman was named to the All-Tournament Team along with teammate Lindsay Fujimoto '15.

With five wins this season, Grinnell has already surpassed last season’s win total by two.
