Matt Hammond ’17 was named the Midwest Conference South Division Player of the Year recently.
 
Hammond, a 5-11 catcher from Post Falls, Idaho (Post Falls), was also an All-MWC South Division selection last season.
 
In 16 conference games, he hit .433 with 26 hits in 60 at bats. He had three homers, six doubles, 22 RBIs and 14 runs scored and had a .683 slugging percentage. .
