For the second year in a row, Grinnell College swimming standout Maddy Pesch ’16 has been named to the College Sports Information Directors of America ™ (CoSIDA) Women’s Academic All-District At-Large Team.

The At-Large category includes 16 sports, including Grinnell’s offerings of men’s and women’s swimming and diving, golf and tennis.

Pesch, a chemistry/gender, women's and sexuality studies major from St. Cloud, Minn. (Cathedral), won Midwest Conference titles this season in the 200- and 400-yard medley relays while taking second in the 100 and 200 breaststrokes.

Pesch, part of 200 and 400 medley relay teams that hold school and MWC records. won seven league titles in her career and is a multiple Academic All-Conference selection.

The All-District squads are chosen by members of CoSIDA. By being named Academic All-District, Pesch advances to the Academic All-America ballot.Â
