Brenda Guan ’20, from Ankeny, Iowa (Centennial), was a perfect 5-for-5 over the weekend while leading the Pioneers to 9-0 league shutout wins over Illinois College, Monmouth College and Knox College. On Saturday, she did not lose a game by posting 6-0, 6-0 wins over her foes from Illinois College and Monmouth and earning an 8-0 doubles win with Lily Hamilton ’19 against Illinois College. Guan kept it up against Knox on Sunday, winning 6-1, 6-1 in singles and teaming with Hamilton to win 8-1 in doubles. Guan is now 6-0 on the season in singles, while she and Hamilton own a 5-1 doubles mark.
