Laura Krull ’13 of New Braunfels, Texas (Keystone National) was named Midwest Conference Women's Tennis Performer of the Week after winning the USTA/ITA Midwest Regional Championships singles title Sunday.

On Saturday, the ninth-seeded Krull earned a spot in the semifinals – the furthest a Pioneer had ever advanced in the tourney – with a run that included a victory over the fourth-seeded player.

On Sunday, Krull defeated fifth-seeded Tai Lucero of Coe College 6-3, 6-1 in a semifinal match and then toppled Jackie Vitale of Wisconsin-Whitewater 6-3, 6-4 for the title. Krull is now 8-1 on the season.
