The honors keep coming for Grinnell College women’s soccer player Carolyn Silverman ’17.
Silverman, who earlier this month earned All-Midwest Conference first-team honors, has been selected to the National Soccer Coaches Association of America All-North Region Third Team.
A two-time All-MWC pick, the forward from Bettendorf, Iowa (Bettendorf) had a team-high nine goals, four game-winning goals and 57 shots this season, all numbers that ranked among the league leaders. She finished her career with 25 goals.
Silverman’s efforts helped Grinnell to a strong finish to the year as the Pioneers capped the regular season with a five-game winning streak and 8-2-1 mark in their final 11 regular-season contests. The Pioneers also advanced to the MWC Tournament and made the title match for the 10th time in program history.
Silverman is the first Pioneer to make the All-Region Team since 2014, when goal keeper Katy Oldach ’16 was honored.
