Grinnell College’s Kayla Morrissey ’18 has been named the Midwest Conference Women’s Basketball Performer of the Week.
 
Morrissey, a 5-10 forward from Burr Ridge, Ill. (Lyons Township North), posted her fourth double-double of the season with game-highs of 24 points and 11 rebounds in a 69-62 loss at Buena Vista University on Dec. 29. Her point total tied a season-high as she made 7-of-10 field goal tries and sank 10 free throws.
 
Morrissey ranks second in the league in both scoring and rebounding at 17.9 points and 8.4 boards.
