Grinnell College’s Beth Tsuha ’17, from Kurtistown, Hawaii (Hilo), is becoming a regular at winning the Midwest Conference Women’s Swimming and Diving Performer of the Week honor.
For the fourth time this season, Tsuha collected the award. It was a Grinnell sweep this week, as Will Lindell ’19 earned the honor on the men’s side.
Tsuha enjoyed a successful weekend while leading the Pioneers to runner-up honors at their own Grinnell Invitational. She tasted victory twice, in the 100-yard breaststroke with a time of 1:08.91 and also with the 800 freestyle relay that had a clocking of 8:14.80.
Tsuha was also second in the 200 breaststroke (2:31.85) and 400 medley relay (4:09.22) and was on the third-place 400 freestyle relay team (3:45.11). Grinnell finished only behind NCAA Division I University of Nebraska-Omaha in the team standings.
