Melissa Anderson ’18, a right-handed pitcher from Waukegan, Ill. (Waukegan), was simply dazzling in two performances last week, sporting a perfect 0.00 ERA in 14 innings pitched during wins over Iowa Wesleyan University and Illinois College. She issued just seven hits during that span and struck out five while walking just two and allowing foes a measly .152 batting average. She took a perfect game into the fifth inning of a 4-0 shutout of Iowa Wesleyan and finished with a three-hitter, striking out four and not walking a batter.

She tossed a four-hitter against the Lady Blues and allowed just one unearned run.
