Isaiah Tyree ’15, a 6-1, 175-pound goal keeper from Rachos De Taos, N.M. (Taos), was recently named the Midwest Conference Men's Soccer Defensive Performer of the Week.
Tyree made 10 saves and allowed just two goals in 180 minutes as the Pioneers prevailed in two “must-win” situations to advance to the Midwest Conference Tournament. He had five saves in a 5-1 victory over Monmouth College and added five more as the Pioneers rallied with two goals in the final 6 minutes to beat Ripon College 2-1 and move on the postseason tourney. For the season, Tyree has a 1.28 goals against average and .786 saves percentage.
