Grinnell College’s Agne Lukoseviciute ’21 began her collegiate outdoor track and field career in impressive fashion, collecting the Midwest Conference Field Event Performer of the Week honor.
Lukoseviciute, from Darien, Ill. (Hinsdale South), had a strong performance at the highly-competitive Emory Classic in Atlanta, including a MWC-leading effort in the discus. She placed seventh of 41 throwers in the event with a toss of 126-1, which ranks third at Grinnell and is the best performance for the Pioneers since 2006.
She also had a throw of 119-10 in the hammer, which is fourth all-time at Grinnell and ranks seventh in the MWC this season.
