Emma Zimmerman ’18, from West Simsbury, Conn. (Simsbury), raced to victory in the 10,000-meter run at the Mount Mercy University Mustang Open Friday. Her clocking of 39:05.16 ranks first in the MWC this season by more than a minute and is 41st nationally. Additionally, she cracked Grinnell’s all-time top 10 list as she beat the runner-up in the event by more than a minute-and-a-half.
