Grinnell College’s Hannes Kogelnik ’21 has been named the Midwest Conference Men’s Basketball Player of the Week.
 
Kogelnik, a guard from Glen Echo, Md. (Walt Whitman), put on a show Sunday, erupting for career-highs of 42 points and 12 3-pointers as the Pioneers rolled by Wright State-Lake Campus 177-129. The point total was the second highest ever generated by the Pioneers’ high-flying offense and just two shy of the school record.
 
Earlier in the week, Kogelnik poured in 18 points on six 3-pointers against Central College. Kogelnik currently leads the nation in 3-pointers per game with 7.4.
