After a successful weekend of tennis, Grinnell College’s Bowen Mince ’22 has been named the Midwest Conference Men’s Tennis Player of the Week.
Mince, New Orleans, La. (Benjamin Franklin), was a perfect 3-for-3 as the Pioneers stormed to wins of 8-1 over Principia College and 9-0 over Truman State University Sunday. Mince posted two shutouts against Truman, winning 6-0, 6-0 at No. 1 singles and teaming with Ben Cobin ’20 to win 8-0 at No. 1 doubles.
The duo also won at the top doubles spot against Principia by an 8-4 score as Grinnell stretched its winning streak to four while improving to 8-2 on the season.
