Grinnell College Athletics

For the second time this season, Grinnell College’s Mikayla Fujiwara ’20 has been named the Midwest Conference Women’s Cross Country Performer of the Week.
 
Fujiwara, from Kanehoe, Hawaii (Punahou School), had another impressive outing Saturday, racing to a fifth-place finish in a 250-runner field at the Loyola Lakefront Cross Country Invitational.
 
Despite running on a wet and muddy course, Fujiwara recorded the 10th-fastest 5-kilometer time in program history with a clocking of 19:05. Her efforts helped Grinnell to ninth place in the 30-team field.
