Luke Yeager ’15, a 6-0, 170-pound guard from Westport, Conn. (Staples), had plenty of buckets against Cornell College, but his final one was the biggest as the Pioneer men’s basketball team rallied from 21 points down to beat the Rams 119-117. In a game where Grinnell was missing eight players due to the flu and lost high-scoring Jack Taylor ’15 to injury in the first half, Yeager was 15-of-27 from the field en route to scoring a game-high 35 points. He scored the game winner with just 1 second left on the clock as he sliced his way past the defense and through the lane for a layup. Yeager also had six assists in the game.
