Brock Weirather '21, who did it all for the Grinnell College baseball team this past weekend, has been rewarded for his efforts by being named the Midwest Conference Baseball Pitcher of the Week.

Weirather, a pitcher/left fielder/designated hitter from Polk City, Fla. (All Saints Academy), tossed five innings of one-hit shutout ball in a game with Buena Vista University Saturday. He struck out seven and didn't issue a walk in getting a no-decision against a team receiving votes for the NCAA Division III rankings.

At the plate, Weirather hit a stellar .667 by going 8-of-12 with a homer, four RBIs and two runs scored. He had a 1.584 on-base percentage and .917 slugging percentage. Weirather also had a spotless 1.000 fielding percentage in four chances.
