After putting together one of the best seasons in Grinnell College women's basketball history, Tyria Heath '21 has been rewarded for such by being named to the All-Midwest Conference first team.

Heath, a guard from Phoenix, Ariz. (Desert Vista), led the league and ranked eighth nationally in points per game with 22.0 an outing. She was also tops in the conference and 17th nationally in field goals made with 200 and ranked second in the league and 12th in the nation in free throws made with 131.

Her field goal percentage of 45.8 percent was third-best in the MWC and free throw percentage of 72.0 percent ranked sixth. She was also among the league leaders in rebounding and was named to the D3hoops.com Team of the Week during the season.

This season alone, she made entries into 17 categories on Grinnell's all-time bests chart. Her scoring average in 2019-20 is fourth-best in Pioneer history as she also tied a school record in free throw percentage for a game by hitting all 11 shots against Knox College.

With a season yet to play, Heath ranks ninth all-time at Grinnell in scoring (1,097 points) and field goals made (403), and is seventh in free throws made (249).
