Grinnell College's Jayson Kunkel '26, a keeper from Des Moines, Iowa (Lincoln), made the most of his first career start Sunday.
 
And following that 12-save shutout against Webster University, Kunkel was named the Midwest Conference Men's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week. All of Kunkel's saves, including several acrobatic ones in the waning minutes, came in the second half and preserved the scoreless affair against a dangerous Gorlok team.
