Grinnell College Athletics

For the second time this season, Grinnell College's Irene Agusti '24 has been named Midwest Conference Women's Tennis Player of the Week.
 
Agusti, from Barcelona, Spain (ES International School), earned a spot in the prestigious ITA Cup by placing second in the Midwest Regional Championships in Whitewater, Wis. Agusti followed a first-round bye with five consecutive victories, including upset wins over the fifth and top seeds.
 
The 10^th-seeded Agusti lost 7-6, 6-1 in the title match. This marks the third season in a row Grinnell put a player in the finals of the event.
