For the second consecutive season, Grinnell College’s Griffin Lentsch ‘13 has been named to the All-Midwest Conference Men’s Basketball First Team.
Lentsch is now a three-time All-MWC selection, having earned second-team honors in 2011.
Lentsch, a 6-4 guard from Forest Lake, Minn. (Forest Lake), ranked first in the MWC in free throw percentage (86.8 percent) and 3-pointers per game (2.7), and was second in points per game at 19.3.
The Academic All-Conference performer finished his Pioneer career as the seventh-leading scorer in program history with 1,701 points and ranked fourth in career free throw percentage at 81.6 percent.
Lentsch helped guide Grinnell to a runner-up finish in the MWC regular-season standings for the third year in a row. Over the last three seasons, Grinnell has put together a 53-18 overall record and 40-14 mark in MWC play.
