Already having made history last fall, Grinnell College’s Laura Krull ’13 has done so again.
Krull (New Braunfels, Texas/Keystone National) became the first Pioneer woman’s tennis player in modern history to qualify for the NCAA Division III National Tennis Championships, which will be May 23-25 at Kalamazoo, Mich.
Krull, ranked ninth in the Central Region with an 18-4 record, is one of 32 players to make the singles field. Krull made history last fall when she became the first Pioneer woman to win the USTA/ITA Midwest Regional title.
She then became the first Pioneer woman in modern history to win a match at the national level, and went on to finish sixth in the nine-player field.
