For the second week in a row, Grinnell College has the Midwest Conference Men’s Basketball Performer of the Week.
This week’s winner is Patrick Maher ’14, a 6-6, 170-pound guard from Park Ridge, Ill. (Maine Township).
Maher played a big role in the Pioneers remaining unbeaten on the. In Grinnell’s MWC opener, a 132-126 victory at Illinois College on Saturday, Maher had 29 points on 9-of-13 shooting from the field and a 9-of-10 performance from the free throw line. He also had four assists and a steal.
Earlier in the week, Maher had 15 points, three assists and two steals in an 88-79 non-conference win over Wartburg College.
The MWC Women’s Performer of the Week is Hannah McGinnis of Illinois College.
