Grinnell College’s Ana Karin Kozjek ‘17 has been named the Midwest Conference Women’s Swimming and Diving Performer of the Week.

Kozjek, from Ljubjana, Slovenia (Gimnazija Bezigrad), was a triple winner as the Pioneers defeated Loras College 141-84 in a dual meet Saturday. She won the 200-yard freestyle in 2:02.57 and 200 backstroke in 2:17.59 while also swimming on the first-place 400 medley relay team that had a time of 4:13.59.

The 200 backstroke and 400 medley times are best in the conference this season, while her time in the 200 freestyle ranks second.

Kozjek is the fourth Grinnell swimmer or diver to be named MWC Performer of the Week this season.

The MWC Men’s Performer of the Week is Zachary Wenner of Lake Forest College.
