Box Score GRINNELL, Iowa – The Grinnell College women's basketball   team saw its two-game winning streak stopped Sunday afternoon as Presentation College posted a 68-59 non-conference victory at Darby Gymnasium.
 
Alissa Hirsh '16 scored 19 points for the Pioneers and also had three steals and three assists. Kayla Morrissey '18 added a double-double, coming up with 11 points and 11 rebounds as well as three steals and three assists.
 
Sophia Gatton '17 added 12 points for the Pioneers, who are 2-4. Presentation improved to 3-5.
 
The visiting Saints built a 37-25 halftime lead before the Pioneers roared back in the second half, using a 12-2 run to make it a 39-37 deficit with 15:35 left.
 
After Presentation put together a run to go back up by 11, the Pioneers followed with a comeback of their own. The 14-3 run that included three buckets by Hirsh, treys by Morrissey and Leah Greenberg '17 and a basket by Lydia Stariha '17 tied the contest at 51-all with 6:40 left.
 
It was still close a few minutes later, with Grinnell pulling within 55-54 on Hirsh's 3-pointer with 3:57 left, before Presentation scored nine consecutive points to secure the victory.
 
The Pioneers jump back into Midwest Conference play Wednesday when Cornell College visits Darby Gymnasium. Game time is 5:30 p.m.
