GRINNELL, Iowa – The Grinnell College men's soccer team put up a tough fight before falling 2-1 to Lake Forest College Saturday afternoon at Springer Field.
Lake Forest jumped out to the lead in the 17th minute, but
Michael Hurley tied the contest in the 25th minute when he stole the ball from a Forrester and kicked it in the net.
Lake Forest secured the win with a goal in the 76th minute.
Grinnell had seven shots in the game, with Hurley taking three and
Artis Curiskis and Antonio Dimarco two apiece.
Major May recorded three saves for the Pioneers, who entertain Carroll University on Sunday.
