Grinnell drops MWC opener to Lawrence

APPLETON, Wis. – Grinnell College's volleyball team lost its Midwest Conference opener Friday night, falling in four sets at Lawrence University.
 
Set scores, in favor of the Vikings, were 25-15, 25-21, 20-25 and 25-18. Grinnell is now 0-10 overall and 0-1 in the league, while Lawrence moved to 2-15 overall and 1-1 in the MWC.
 
Olivia Fromm had seven kills for Grinnell and Sarah Garringer added six. Margaret Giles dished out 24 assists and Sydney McClendon had three ace serves.
 
Sydney Vrecenar tallied 10 digs and Emma Willhardt came up with six total blocks.
 
Grinnell is at St. Norbert College on Saturday.
