LAKE FOREST, Ill. - The Grinnell College men's soccer team got off to a stellar start before falling 3-2 to Lake Forest College in double overtime Sunday afternoon.

Nick Brule '17 opened the scoring in the 14th minute with his eighth goal of the year to put the Pioneers up 1-0.
Antonio DiMarco '18 added the assist.

The hosts tied it two minutes later, but shortly after the Pioneers took the lead again when
Artis Curiskis '18 found the back of the net in the 18th minute. The goal, his third of the year, was assisted by
Thomas Pflipsen '20.

The score remained 2-1 through halftime and the Pioneers nearly held on for the win before the hosts scored with just under four minutes left.Â

Neither team scored in the first overtime before Lake Forest tallied in the 103th minute to win, improving to 3-0 in the Midwest Conference and 5-4 overall. Grinnell, which had a five-game winning streak snapped, fell to 2-1 in the league and 6-4 in all games.
