GRINNELL, Iowa – Grinnell College's women's soccer team came up with another solid defensive effort, and even outshot the visitors from Lawrence University, but in the end the Vikings escaped with a 1-0 victory Saturday at Springer Field.
The lone goal for Lawrence (9-5-1, 3-2 Midwest Conference) came in the 13
th minute of the game.
Giada Bambi '25 was an offensive force for Grinnell (2-10-2, 1-3-2 MWC) by taking six of the Pioneers' shots.
Madeleine Dellinger '22 added two and
Keiko Smith '25,
Hope Nowak '22 and
Antarah Chopra '23 added one each.
Elinor Arneson '23 worked the first half at keeper for Grinnell and had two saves, while
Hannah Malicky '22 added one save in the second half.
Grinnell travels to St. Paul, Minn., on Tuesday to face Macalester College.
