LAKE FOREST, Ill. – Grinnell College's women's soccer team dominated the shots battle, but still came up on the short end of things as Lake Forest College eked out a 2-0 win Saturday.
Grinnell (3-12-2, 2-4-2 Midwest Conference) more than doubled the shots total of the hosts, piling up 18 compared to seven for Lake Forest (9-6-1, 6-1-1 MWC). The winners broke a scoreless tie in the 28
th minute and added another goal in the 38
th minute.
Grinnell's shots total was balanced, as
Anna Engelhardt '22 and
Francesca Dalla Betta '22 took three apiece and
Keiko Smith '25,
Jane March '24,
Antarah Chopra '23 and
Esmé Kayim-Yanko '22 had two each.
Elinor Arneson '23 and
Hannah Malicky '22 split keeper duties, with each making two saves.
The contest was the season finale for Grinnell.
