ST. LOUIS, Mo. – Grinnell College will be riding plenty of postseason experience into the NCAA Division III Men's Tennis Tournament this weekend.

The Pioneers, 8-0 on the season, are making their 14
th trip in a row to nationals. They open up at 10 a.m. Friday against Augustana College of Illinois at the Dwight Davis Tennis Center in St. Louis. The winner will take on Washington University at 1 p.m. Saturday.

Grinnell's singles play this season has been led by

Leo Esztergomi '24 (3-0),

Charles Yung '24 (3-0). Top doubles teams include the duos of Esztergomi-Mince (6-0), Conlin-Brandenburg-Gilmore (5-0) and Bridgers-Tibrewal (5-0).

Augustana advances to the tourney with a 12-6 mark after going 6-1 in the Collegiate Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin (CCIW). The Vikings defeated North Central 5-4 in the league tourney title match.

Leading the Vikings in singles have been Caio DeRezende (14-3), Peter Alex (8-7), Leonardo Panosso (6-8), Eliot St. Paul (11-6), Justin Cassens (7-9) and Alvaro Leal (2-5). Top doubles units are DeRezende-Leal (8-2), Alex-Kyle Boudreau (4-8) and Cassens-Panosso (7-0).
