Grinnell men's tennis team sails by Lake Forest for yet another MWC victory

GRINNELL, Iowa - Grinnell College's men's tennis team breezed to yet another Midwest Conference victory, toppling Lake Forest College 8-1 on a beautiful Saturday morning at 10th Avenue Courts.

The Pioneers emerged victorious in all three doubles matches, getting wins from the duos of Aiden Klass '25-Lucas Willett '26 (8-6), Henry Bridgers '24-Sam Rudenberg '25 (8-7) and Wilder Cooke '25-Albert Bostoen '26 (8-4).

The Pioneers, who have won 183 consecutive matches against league foes dating back to 2002-03, finished off the win with victories at the Nos. 2 through 6 singles spots with Willett (6-4, 7-6), Rudenberg (6-0, 6-2), Klass (4-6, 4-5, 10-5), Bostoen (6-3, 6-3) and Jacob Young '26 (6-3, 6-2).

The 31st-ranked Pioneers improved to 3-0 in the MWC and 18-3 overall, while Lake Forest fell to 2-1 in the league and 10-6 in all matches. Grinnell wraps up its home slate of matches Sunday when Cornell College visits for a 2 p.m. test.
