Grinnell women's tennis team disposes of NCAA D-II Quincy by 6-1 score

GRINNELL, Iowa - Taking a step up to play an NCAA Division II team, the Grinnell College women's tennis squad didn't blink an eye on its way to a 6-1 win over Quincy University Saturday afternoon.

Grinnell won five of six singles matches at 10th Avenue Courts, with victories coming at the Nos. 2 through 6 spots with Erin Jarvis '25 (7-5, 6-3), Lily Perrin '25 (6-3, 3-6, 6-3), Anika Sheth '26 (6-1, 2-6, 6-2), Sydney Marin '25 (6-0, 6-2) and Nehir Ergun '26 (6-0, 6-0).

The Pioneers also got the one singles point up for grabs by winning two of the three divisions. Jarvis and Perrin teamed up to win 6-0 at the second slot, while Marin and Ergun also won 6-0 at No. 3.

Perrin now has 63 career doubles victories, sixth all-time at Grinnell. Jarvis has 53 doubles wins to rank 18th. Perrin is 21st in career singles wins with 41.

The 1-0 Pioneers play at the Gustavus Adolphus College Invite next weekend.
