Pioneer women's soccer team battles strong Saint Mary's squad to 0-all draw

WINONA, Minn. – Grinnell College's women's soccer team hit the road for the first time this season, facing a Saint Mary's (Minn.) team that had not lost or tied in three outings this season.

The Pioneers ended that streak, earning a hard-fought 0-0 draw with the Cardinals in non-conference play Sunday afternoon.

Peyton Dixon '27 was again incredible in goal for the Pioneers, posting her second shutout of the season and 14th in her young career. She made three saves.

Grinnell managed four shots in the game, those coming from Ella Hunt '26, Campbell Swaim '28, Rama Joshi '27 and Maya Mozena '28.

Grinnell, 2-1-1 on the season, entertains Simpson College Wednesday at Springer Field. Action begins at 4:30 p.m.

Saint Mary's is now 3-0-1.
