GC women collect 3 event victories in meet with Macalester

ST. PAUL, Minn. - Three event victories, including two by Camryn Gonzales '25, propelled the Grinnell College women's swimming and diving team in Saturday's dual meet with Macalester College.

Gonzales won the 100-yard butterfly in 1 minute, 0.32 seconds and was part of the first-place 200 freestyle relay team that finished in 1:42.91. Completing that squad were Ciara Vogler '26, Sophia Carroll 25 and Samantha Cook '27. Grinnell's other winner was Vivian Woare '28 in the 200 butterfly with a time of 2:16.23.

Individual runners-up for the Pioneers, who were defeated 193-103, were Sarah Lopez '26 in the 100 backstroke, 100 butterfly and 200 individual medley (1:02.48, 1:00.99 and 2:16.83, respectively), Eva Cuevas 25 in the 100 and 200 breaststrokes (1:10.98 and 2:34.76), Gonzales in the 200 butterfly (2:17.44), Ann Maisuradze '27 in 1-meter diving (151.20 points) and Molly Ryan '27 in the 200 backstroke (2:14.56).

Grinnell was also second in the 200 medley relay as Lopez, Bella Takata '28, Gonzales and Cook finished in 1:53.96.
