GRINNELL, Iowa – Four event victories Saturday propelled Grinnell College's women's swimming and diving team to a split in a double dual at Russell K. Osgood Pool.

Champs for GC were
Sarah Lopez '26 in the 200-yard butterfly (2 minutes, 14.08 seconds),
Alex Kruse '29 in 1-meter diving (218.75),
Simone Bennett '29 in the 200 backstroke (2:14.48) and
Maya Comer '28 in the 200 individual medley (2:19.50).

The Pioneers nearly swept the competition in the team standings, rolling over Augustana College 240-109 and falling 180-165 to Colorado College.

The Pioneers had multiple individual runners-up. They were
Nina Lyons '29 in the 1000 freestyle (11:15.73, 20
th-best time in GC history),
Vivian Woare '28 in the 200 butterfly (2:16.54),
Joely Kam '28 in the 200 breaststroke (2:34.05) and 200 individual medley (2:20.30),
Samantha Cook '27 in the 200 freestyle (2:01.71),
Jane Markovitz '26 in 1-meter diving (185.25) and Lopez in the 200 backstroke (2:16.23).

Grinnell was also second in the 200 medley relay with Bennett,
Tory Morse '29, Lopez and
Ciara Vogler '26 and 200 freestyle relay with Vogler, Morse,
Sophie Juethner '26 and Cook. Their times were 1:51.88 and 1:41.71, respectively.

Placing third for Grinnell were Comer in the 200 breaststroke (2:34.50),
Bella Nesbeth '26 in 1-meter diving (156.95) and Woare in the 200 individual medley (2:22.64).

Grinnell entertains Quincy University next Saturday, beginning at 1 p.m.
