Pioneer women's swimming and diving team claims 4 event titles against Quincy

GRINNELL, Iowa - Grinnell College rode four event victories and multiple runner-up finishes to a successful performance against NCAA Division II Quincy University Saturday afternoon.

Alex Kruse '29 won two events at Russell K. Osgood Pool, winning 1-meter diving with a score of 191.03 and the 3-meter event with a 234.75. Vivian Woare '28 was first in the 200 butterfly in 2 minutes, 15.72 seconds and Maya Comer '28 was tops in the 500 freestyle with a time of 5:32.00.

Individual runners-up for Grinnell were Comer in the 1000 freestyle (11:25.35), Simone Bennett '29 in the 100 backstroke (1:00.37) and 100 butterfly (1:01.25), Zoe Kwok '29 in the 100 breaststroke (1:11.16), Samantha Cook '27 in the 50 freestyle (25.67) and 500 freestyle (5:32.30), Jane Markovitz in 1-meter diving (180.90) and 3-meter diving (174.90), Sarah Lopez '26 in the 200 backstroke (2:19.62) and 400 individual medley (4:55.91) and Joely Kam '28 in the 200 breaststroke (2:33.85). Bennett's time in the backstroke ranks 10th in program history.

Grinnell was also second in the 200 medley relay with Bennett, Kwok, Lopez and Ciara Vogler '26 (1:52.33) and 400 freestyle relay with Cook, Tory Morse '29, Comer and Vogler (3:47.09).

Quincy won the team crown by a score of 158-103.
