CLAREMONT, Calif. - Grinnell College's men's tennis team continued its tough trek through its 2025 schedule, battling a pair of nationally-ranked squads Wednesday.

Aiden Klass '25 was a two-time winner as the 33rd-ranked Pioneers lost a hard-fought 5-2 decision to No. 31 Salisbury University in California.

Klass posted a 6-3, 7-6 victory at No. 4 singles and teamed with Alex Doane '28 to win 7-6 at No. 3 doubles. Grinnell's other winner was Lucas Willett '26, who claimed a 7-6, 3-6, 6-1 marathon victory at No. 2 singles. Two other Pioneers, Wilder Cooke '25 and Karch Knoll '25, took their foes to three sets before losing at Nos. 1 and 3 singles, respectively.

Earlier in the day, eighth-ranked Bowdoin College topped Grinnell 7-0. Willett and Knoll put up great efforts at Nos. 2 and 4 singles, each going three sets.
