GC men's tennis team wraps up 2024-25 campaign with loss in 2nd round of NCAA Tourney

WHITEWATER, Wis. - Grinnell College's men's tennis team wrapped up its successful campaign Saturday morning with a 4-0 setback to fourth-ranked University of Chicago in the second round of the NCAA Division III Tournament.

The 62nd-ranked Pioneers, who finished with a 14-13 mark, saw Aiden Klass '25 and Lucas Willett '26 play the nation's second-ranked doubles team to 5-3 before the match was stopped when the Maroons secured the doubles point.

In singles, Willett got five games off the nation's sixth-ranked player at the second slot and Karch Knoll '25 won seven games against the region's No. 18 player at No. 3.

Chicago advances to the next round with a 22-3 mark.
