Pioneer women claim 4 event titles against St. Ambrose

DAVENPORT, Iowa - Grinnell College's women's swimming and diving team crowned four champs in Saturday's dual meet at St. Ambrose University.

Alex Kruse '29 won 1-meter diving with a score of 405.30, good for ninth in program history and an NCAA Regional cut. Other champs were Sarah Lopez '26 in the 200 butterfly (2:15.34), Samantha Cook '27 in the 100 freestyle (56.65) and Vivian Woare '28 in the 200 backstroke (2:16.72).

Individual runners-up for Grinnell were Natasha Zettler '27 in the 1000 freestyle (11:36.87), Cook in the 200 freestyle (1:59.98) and 100 butterfly (1:02.46), Simone Bennett '29 in the 100 backstroke (1:01.80), Maria Restrepo '29 in the 200 butterfly (2:25.45), Sophie Juethner '26 in the 50 freestyle (25.59), Ciara Vogler '26 in the 100 freestyle (58.09) and Lopez in the 200 individual medley (2:16.54).

Grinnell was also second in the 200 medley relay with Bennett, Tory Morse '29, Lopez and Juethner (1:54.85) and the 200 freestyle relay with Morse, Vogler, Cook and Juethner (1:41.84).

St. Ambrose was victorious in the team standings 149-126.
