GRINNELL, Iowa – Grinnell College's women's swimming and diving team simply dominated the field in winning its fifth Midwest Conference title in a row Sunday.

The Pioneers put together 1,067 points at Russell K. Osgood Pool to defeat runner-up St. Norbert College by nearly 300 points. The point total is Grinnell's highest since the 2009 meet. Grinnell has now won 25 of the last 27 MWC titles and 34 overall.

The Pioneers again used balanced to pave the way, with
Nina Lyons '29 providing Sunday's lone victory. That came in the 1650-yard freestyle, where Lyons swam the race in 17 minutes, 59.79 seconds. That time is third all-time at GC.

Also in the 1650 free,
Zeb O'Hara '28 was runner-up in 18:16.95 and
Megan Gawlick '28 placed fourth in 18:27.50. O'Hara's time ranks 10
th in GC history.

Simone Bennett '29 was runner-up in the 200 backstroke in 2:05.77,
Molly Ryan '27 placed fourth in 2:09.63,
Greta Dunn '26 was fifth in 2:11.06 and
Regan Stambaugh '26 placed seventh in 2:12.28. Bennett's time is second in GC history and Dunn's ranks 11
th.

Tory Morse '29 was third in the 100 freestyle in 53.92, the 13
th-best time at GC.
Ciara Vogler '26 took fifth in 54.20 and
Sophie Juethner '26 was seventh in 54.75.

In the 200 breaststroke,
Joely Kam '28 was second in 2:28.29 and
Maya Comer '28 placed seventh in 2:32.65. Kam's time of 2:25.95 in the prelims ranks fourth in GC history.
Sarah Lopez '26 led the way in the 200 butterfly, taking second in 2:06.69.
Maria Restrepo '29 was fourth in 2:14.95,
Vivian Woare '28 took fifth in 2:15.00 and Gawlick placed ninth in 2:24.95. Restrepo's time is 17
th in GC history.

Grinnell finished the meet by placing second in the 400 freestyle relay, as Morse, Vogler, Ryan and Juethner swam 3:35.22. That time is 10
th in GC history.
