Pioneer women's athletes climb up all-time leader board

GRINNELL, Iowa - Both Simone Bennett '29 and Alex Kruse '29 climbed the Grinnell College women's swimming and diving leader board with big performances Saturday at the GC Last Chance Meet.

Kruse posted a score of 477.60 in 1-meter diving (11 dives) at Russell K. Osgood Pool, which ranks second in program history only behind Kelly Bruce's record score of 483.85 from 2011. Kruse also had the third-best 3-meter diving (6 dives) score in GC history with a tally of 261.75. That is best for the program since 2012.

Bennett swam the 200-yard butterfly in 2 minutes, 15 seconds. That ranks 17th all-time.
